staying logged in

why can I not stay logged in? is it due to teh low number of posts I have, or is it something with my browser?

hmmm not sure, could be your browser, clear cookies & make sure box on log in pg is checked forever in top left corner on log in pg...

staying logged in works on other sites, just not here, every time I come back I have to log back in, but every time I do it's set to "forever" and says time logged in 11 hours and x minutes, it's always 11 hours even though I just logged in, this is the only forum I visit using SMF software. I should try logging in from IE and see if it does the same, I'm using Chrome right now.

ah, must be something with Chrome, I just tried with IE and it keeps me logged in.

I use chrome and have no problems.... same with firefox and IE..... I stay logged in on all them...

Yep they all keep me logged in too, and my phone what the problem could be.

discovered something interesting. with all the other forums I'm on, my stored links take me to the forum's home page which is also the login page, and everything is fine.
In place of the blanks for login and password it says Hi swampjeep, or welcome back swampjeep...

When I click a link taking me to a thread of forum top here (other then the main login page) I'm logged in, but if I go to the main forum page it shows that I need to log in, instead of showing it recognizing me as Swampjeep.

So as long as the top forum page isn't where I go first everything works without having to log in.

That works... just changed where my bookmark takes me
