Tire set up and cutting

I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I want new rubbers. Right now I have (4) 40" hawgs

But here was my thought:

Buy (2) 40" boggers, cut them and put them in the rear. Use (2) hawgs up front and cut them like V treads

Here's how I'd cut them

I don't have the extra cash for 4 new boggers.  My hawgs got about 70% uncut life left

How well would they bite? Or what other tire combos would you recommend?
How much better would 4 boggers be?
What's the handling difference?

Overall, I'm just looking for feedback

Thanks

BIG DOG

first of all do you have enough motor to spin 4  boggers  fast enough to let them work   .        and  you dont want to kill your front end  witch is what ?  also    i'm hopin not a 10 bolt or 44.  for boggers on stock shafts

CLYDE & family WE GOT MUD 4X4  37s TO 52" V TREADS LOVE PRIVATE BOGGS

Cut hawgs would bite better then uncut,  but they don't compare to boggers, also keep in mind cut tires are illegal to drive down the road,  but if they are just for bogging you can cut the hawgs down fairly deep on the outside of the tire, the rubber is thicker there then in the middle where it is thin,

Would cutting them into V treads give me any "steering" in the mud?

I could steer with my cut hawgs, they were cut into v treads, but most people say they stuck for steering

Better steering than 4 boggers?

I think.boggers would be better, should cut your hawgs like these and just rip straight lines lol http://wegotmud.com/forum/index.php?topic=82213.0

Lol, I see a lot of mud rails with the V tread and scoop rear combo. And they go pretty straight.  But I figured it would turn also? Some events have turns, that's why I ask.

Yeah that's why a lot of guys like the tsl/bogger combo to get some better steering, if you want to steer good you need a narrower tire to cut through the mud, or like a tsl that has longer lugs placed sideways in the center, but if you ask me your only gonna steer as good as the mud will let you

#10
I could stay with the 15x10 rim up front. And a 15x15 rim in rear?

go with tsl front bogger rear it works the best for everything steering, driving, and just looking good lol   I have run a few sets of hawgs they really are not that great even cut boggers hook and break parts lol tsl are very forgiving and steer great one of the best.  also iroks are great tires they have centers like a tsl and the outer lugs have small scoops like a bogger I loved the set I had mabye you could look for 4 iroks?

How much would it run me $ for (2) tsl's and (2) NEW boggers. I don't  care is the tsl's are used.
And what would it run me for (4) of the iroks you speek of?
What are hawgs even worth with aluminum rims?
