Tuners for 7.3 powerstroke

Thinking about getting a tuner/chip for my 99.5 superduty. Not looking to go crazy. Gonna do a straight pipe exhaust and a better air intake. Thinking about a TS 6 position chip for the 60hp and 80hp boost for towing. Wondering what others on this site have used?

The Ts is ok I'm going with custom tunes though they cost a little bit more but custom tunes and so much better then caned tunes

And if you put a tuner on it have a cone filter and you have to have a egt gauge!

Have you used a TS? Any issues? yup plannin on a 3 gauge pillar

No I haven't used ts I'm going with a custom burnt chip the custom tunes keep egts down and do more for the trans.. Yea I plain on a piller pod with boost. egt. Trans temp and fuel presure

Your truck being a 99 has forged rods so you can run the 140hp tune safe mine is a 02 with powder metal rods so the most I can run is 120hp

HAVE THE TS 6 POS CHIP IN BOTH MY 99 AND 01 SUPER CHICKENS BOTH HAVE 4" EXGHUST..NO GAGES NO AIR INTAKES NONE OF THAT FANCY JUST RAW PULLIN POWER!! ...THEY WORK AWSOME..I WENT FROM AN EDGE EVELOUTION TO THE TS...THE TS HAS 90% MORE POWER THAN THE EDGE EVELOUTION AND COST HALF AS MUCH

i honestly cant say either way but i can tell u this im pretty sure ur not gonna want much more than the ts. does on the extreme setting it bellows black smoke and feels like its got enough torqe to bust the tranny in half with out an issue needless to say i leave her on the 50hp setting and its perfect for me

  ive seen the ts chip for $250. whats the custom tunes you been checking out costing?
