What's the difference in a torque converter with a sprag and spragless?

I need to get a torque converter for my truck to match my cam but I keep seeing all the listing with sprag and spragless? Could someone please educate me on it and which one would would out best for the mud?? And do you know where I can get a custom one off converter made if possible?
