12:22 (Broke the record)

12:22 in a 2 mile race don't sound very fast until you consider it was my 8th grade son's 1st track meet of the year. Him and 3 other kids in the race and he lapped all of them Once and one of them twice. One of the greatest birthday presents he could have gave me. Not to mention 1st in the 1/2 mile by almost 1/2 a lap. To bad it started raining, would'a loved to see his 1 mile race. One proud daddy here for sure!

I used to run the 2 mile. Thats a darn good time for an 8th grader early in the season. tell him congrats!

yeah thats a good timing for 8 graders. my sophmore year i ran 5.13 a mile and i could imagine the time he run for a mile would be a solid 5 minute right now

He's badass ducky, he had alot of people talking. The last 1/3 of a lap he sprints. I'm so proud, and on my B-Day. What a gift!

He found out today that he beat the Genesee school record for 8th graders. His official time was 12:18 Can't wait to watch him Monday at Bendle,

We went to Bendle yesterday and he broke the record again in the 2 mile. Brought it down to 12:10

Also got 2nd in the mile and 3rd in the 1/2 mile. And they won the meet against Bendle, Hamady, and Montrose.

2 meets 2 records Headed to Dryden tomarrow.

Thanks for all the encouragement, its all fuel to his fire. He's only about a minute off the Varsity record which is held by the same guy. His goal for now is to not lose a 2 mile race this season, long term goal is to beat the Varsity record, and get a scholarship to college. Yup, I'm proud.

No new record yesterday, but he dominated the 2 mile. Took 3rd in the 1 mile, and 5th in the 1/2 mile. Him and his coach agreed that the rest of the season he will not be running the 1/2 mile race which in right before the 1 mile. Should make his 1 mile times a lot better.
