Refresh rate vs TV

I tried hooking the HDMI from my desktop upto my tv just to see what it would do. I don't plan to leave it because the TV is plama. Just curious, if i set the refresh rate to 24 it works fine but everything is slowed down. If i set it to 60 it automatically goes to 59 and I get lines, almost like static on the tv.

hmmm, try 50, I run my TV at 60, but it's an LCD, never hooked a computer up to a plasma tv before.

just keep adjusting it until you get the best picture.

it wouldnt do anything at 50 seems to be ok at 30. figure i wont burn images on the tv as long as i just watch movies. guy at micro center said plasmas dont even do that anymore. just being careful lol

the old school plasma tvs had problems, the new ones are good
