Ok decided to build a jeep I've had around forever, this will be my first comp/ sand build. And my first ground up build, I know I'm going 2x4 steel straight frame, body is a steel 70's cj5 with a fiberglass front clip, unsure if I will go leaf springs or coil overs, gunna run a d44 front and a 9inch rear motor will either be a healthy 383 or I have the parts to do a twin turbo Buick v6. Unsure which route to go with this. I would love to hear some input from guys who have done a similar build. Plan to run sand with It but also possibly dirt drags and the occasional mud hole, suggestions on gears, wheel base, driveline set up, tires, springs ect will be awesome! I haven't done it so I have no idea what to do, also I don't wanna run into having the super short rear drive shaft that is always breaking in the jeeps so I may stretch the body a little so I can make the wheel base longer get a better angle on shafts

Thanks for the input!
