im new to all of this and i was wondering if some one could give me some assistance on the best way to lincoln lock my 14 bolt carrier.. i have the carrier open i have clutches on both side under the side gears. i have had people tell me to weld the side gears to the housing and i have had people tell me to just weld the spiders to the side gears?? if you guys could post some pics of your that would help out a ton... thanks

Weld the gears together no need to weld them to the carrier, I've never welded a 14 bolt to the carrier there is no need to and that way you could also convert back at a latter time if you decided too.  ==2cents

So just weld the spiders to the side gears..

fill it with lead.  did mine and my brother in laws a few years back and both are still holding up jsut fine.  and if the something lets go  all you have to do is clean the carrier out, melt the lead down, and fill it again.

I welded one up almost 5 years ago  and did just the spiders  filled in between 2 of the teeth opposite of each other  on em and no issues with probbally  30k miles on the road and lots of bogging     theres lots of different ways too go about it  tho

so you have posi rear end now. if you have clutches behind the side gears do not weld that one. I would  trade you an open case and some $$ for your posi unit.
