A week or so ago I posted something about my trail cam was stolen.  It got worse.  Someone now stole my ground blind, my tree stand and my extension.  My treestand was 20' up with a 4' extension.  I had my 16' ladder down.  The stand was locked.  They left my cable on the ground cut with bolt cutters, and left a shotgun shell there.  Why are people such douchebags?

Put up new ones and sit out 24/7. Bout the only way to catch them. Up north? Local? I'm sure the shotgun shell is some type of signature

That really sucks, but I doubt thieves would snoop around the same area twice...........they've been compromised, and took what they wanted.......no reason to go back.

That said, I would use a 1/2 inch thick tow chain around your next tree stand,  and install a tree cam facing your blind.


Was this on private or state land?  I've heard it happening more on private land than state.

That really sucks , wish I could help find ur thief, give them a big lesson in get a job, even if your hands won't move anymore!!

It's up north, local for my brother, public land, I've been hunting there 20+ years, my family has been hunting there over 50 years all with no problems.  Pretty pissed cuz every deer I've ever shot I've gotten from that tree

Im hunting in roscommon county, never seen a hunter, 3 guys on cam this year.

I posted an ad on craigslist for the area I hunt saying I need some hunting gear like treestand, ladder, ground blind, etc.   we will see if anyone wants to sell anything.....

they took it cause ur stuff was nicer then theres and it probly was a younger group a guys that took it cause most older guys ive met are not into taking thats not theres hell they probly not even locals

have the shell fingerprinted.  should be felony theft charges.

had somebody shoot a buck off my bait this year how do i know u might ask / got pics of deer coming in and then going down and then somebody erased three hours of time on trail cam i believe it was somebody i know how else would they know about blind and bait and not steal my stuff to on way out ..... ps this was private land with locked gate

Update, I've replaced most of what's gone.  Next year my stand is only gonna be up if I'm there.

Yea, hunter harassment clause I believe makes it a felony.. If it's on state land.. Federal felony if on fed land.
And private land theft.. I'm calling stand your ground/castle doctrine

we own just under 300 Acers.  we have stands taking all the time. so we just sit on the golf cart now.  or somebody buys land next to us and say are stand over line or close to the line. ( when say over the line the closest tree to use)
