suzuki lt230 question....

I got a think a 84? Suzuki lt230..... I'm having problems getting it to idle right....I did a full rebuild on the carb as I couldn't get it to fire before, now that I have the carb on it fires within 2-3 kicks, I have everything set as factory specs, and when it idles down it will sometimes stall out or act like it, so I give it am little gas and it idles high then eventually idles down,

I have tried adjusting idle screw, which like I said it will idle but give it gas then off of it it idles high then come s down,

I. Have also tried adjusting the idle pilot screw in more and out more past factory settings,  as going in more makes it idle higher as its leaning it out, and out more not much of anything but I can smell it burning richer.....

Any help would be great, thanks guys

Sounds like the boot is cracked, letting in air.

Negative.....sprayed ether all around it and nothing.....

Ironically im going thru the same ordeal with my atc....but i pretty much have a open air box on that with no filter... somight be a jetting issue, untill i get the airbox back on...but ill worry about that after i fix this damn quad .....its got no spitting or sputtrring thru the rpms either...its got me baffled....i rebuild these carbs and engines all the time amd this is the first one i cant seem to dial in...its really pissing me off

Well i think i figured it out....seems the choke wasnt kicking off all the way.....but previous owner filled tank with 2 cycle gas so im guna have to retune carb again after it gets filled with regular gas
