I got a 02 silverado and I'm buying a sas kit from ORD I was wondering what axle I should buy that will be the easiest to do the swap with?
its a FORD thing you wouldnt understand

high pinnion ford dana 44 or 60 front axle
so it will work with ur tranny and tcase

No  but if you wanna spend the money you can buy new hubs with the 6 lug pattern for the 60, but if it was me I'd just put an 8 lug axle in the back to would be cheaper and make the rear stronger.

Ok cool I'll just have to pick up an 8 lug rear lol the funny thing I just blew the spiders in my 10 bolt anyways

If you get a early ford f150 d44 that has drums you can put your 10 bolt brakes and rotors on it... so 6 lug ford d44

That's what I'll end up doing just needed a little info as to what to start buying and looking for should be an interesting project

A d44 can be converted to 6 lug by swapping everything knuckles outward. Thats how mine was. Just go 1 tons. Its worth it. Ord has a great kit to start with

I would look for an old Ford truck, rob the  Dana44 and 9" rear

Just find a D60 front ford or 93 up dodge to do it, so if ya run over a 35" tire it won't break
98 blazer 388/350/208, 60 front,14ff rear, 4:88s, on 44s cut

Im planning on going big with like 37-40s so 35s will not work lol I'm breaking stuff with just 33s thats why im going the sas

I got a 14 bolt rear end with 3.73 gears now what would be a good matching front axle? D60?
