Bald Eagles in Genesee County

I saw a picture in today's Flint Journal but was unable to find it on line.  It is on page C7.

Mt. Morris Township resident Bunnie pardee photographed this bald eagle, one of a nesting pair, near Mott lake in Genesee Township.  Pardee says she has been watching the pair for several years.

  It would be cool to see a bald eagle in person in the wild.

We have a nesting pair here in lowell they have their nest in the top of this tree right next to the grand river...they are awesome they fly all over our town, we see them all the time.

It is alot more common to see them now days they took them off the endangered species list just a little while ago.

I seen my first one when we moved here about 2 years ago, it was circling (SP) in the air above our car at the gas station and I thought it was a hawk and my kid said thats a bald eagle and I thought no way, then it got closer and you can see the white head, he was only about 100ft in the air it was cool. I guess they have been here for about 4 or 5 years now but I only see those two I dont think they had any chicks yet but they have a big a$$ nest.

Funny thing is I never seen a stray cat since we lived here

I Live in Albion on the jackson / calhoun county line and my neighbor has been seeing one. I have not seen it yet but I would like to.

i have family of 3 that live along the river behind my house , i see them all the time .
every time is still as cool as the first time i seen them.

There is a pair out in Millington also that nest near Murphy Lake. I hear if you are out on the water every now and then you can watch them picking fish out of the lake. I have not seen it yet but I am sure it is very cool looking.

ya my brother was riding with me the other day (12-02-06)on genesee rd at the bridge at stanley rd ,an said; look at the eagle.I asked him what r you somking  this is genesee county .well i gusee he was right then . i thought they were only up north

i saw one in a tree just off the freeway North of Cadillac 2 weeks ago, sitting there looking all Majestic.

check out the flint river in montrose sometime in the summer, youll see a few eagles soaring the river.

Haven't seen any bald eagles but I've heard that there has been numerous sitings of a bald crotchety old fart near my house and near my shop.  Haven't quite fiquired that out.
