got a tire question

ok guys so i bought a pair of 26x12.00x15 mickey thompson sportsman S/R the question is will they be ok to mount on an 8inch wide rim without wearing out the center of the tire? i read you can have a tire 4inch's wider then your rim is this correct? thanks in advance

a radial will ride flat but if you spin them the center will grow in size and will wear sooner, a bias tire will bulge in the center so you will have to adjust the air pressure and again if you spin them the center will bulge.
