My axles held up fine with the 9.5-24 tractor tires I had.  The u joints didn't like them though.

On the rear, less weight on axle,I think would be fine.

The front, engine sitting on front axle, gets most the traction,  maybe---maybe not

If you got the axles, I would try them!

 I run new  bkt 171's 12.4x24 on my 60's and they hold up just fine, just go for it you'll love them. i really  want another set, lol

Just stripped all the teeth off my front load rockwells running 13.9-24's. But mud king used to run 60 and a 70 with terre tires out front and dual tractors in rear.
