It makes me sick to say the least, I think a lot of them got the killer lease deal.

personally.... this has touched a nerve with me. I seen the trucks you are talking about EVERYWHERE! case in point. yesterday i was sitting in a parking lot waiting for my brother to come out of a store. a HUGE newer ford excusion pulls up. had at least 40s on it and sat about 8ft tall. AT LEAST! just as i was about to say hey nice truck, i kid u not a guy in a SUIT hops out and goes into a nextel dealership. WTF?!!?! i looked at the truck and unless he can clean mud off better then god... id swear its never seen the side of a road let alone off one.
That stuff annoys me to no end. it really does. My old Ford was the p00. i could drown it, smash it into trees, leave it barried and pull people all day long. never had one problem with it.

we had a 2002 f 250 it wasn't 6 months old and we had it out at the mounds. then when it was a year old we lifted it and put it on 42's and that was my moms dd and wheeled that a lot.  then we got a 2000 f250 got rid of the payment lifted that 11 in on 38's and got our jeep done.

MORGZILLA!

it's funny that i read this post today.. i work at little cesars in hartland and the other day, this guy comes in in his 2000 or newer excursion with a bunch of lift, and big chrome rims and NEW boggers.. and he had the nerve to say "You probably wish you had a truck like that, dont ya?" I was like, not really, but i'd take your tires :) And then today this guy pulled up in an 06ish Avalanche with 6-8" lift and BRAND NEW TSL's on chrome rims and i walked away. ahhaha. I did see a really nice jeep one time with a spinner rim on the spare tire going down the road, and i just about peed laughing so hard. haha.
i dd a 2000 but my mud truck is an 88.. if you've got it, wheel it. new trucks are nice, but i dont know if i could run a 30k or more vehicle through the mud and risk trashin it unless i had some serious cash! :)

I like the older trucks I think that they have more character than the new ones...  And home built is better than bought anyday!!!!

You know, I've owned a few "news" and  ALOT of "olds".  Ever try to crawl under the hood just to find a "comfortable" seat with a beer in one hand a wrench in the other in the 07's or 08's. To much computer for  me....

i wasnt tryin to say if you got a 4x you gotta wheel it i just think newer trucks have become a status symbol newer trucks are good for dds but if you want a dd dont lift it and put 4000 worth rims on it  it kinda defeats the purpose of havin a dd the gas just wentout the window

Boggerram87

I took a shiny 87 power ram show truck and beat the hell outta it, threw on some 35" hawgs, roll bar, winch, the ol girl will do some work, so i gotta say the old rigs got it

catfish

its more than an old truck its an old frend

i dont  care what people do to ther new trucks but  dont look down on my old one, she may be rusty and beat up but i have never seen a new car or truck take an acsedint like mine, ben rear-ended twice, t-boned, side swiped, 3 tons of tong wate droped on her and tanged with a concreet post, and she still drives fine

i like to see one of them plastic pick ups do that
