i was nervous
i got my license last week
the cop was a jerk he was like driver, put ur hands on the wheel with his hand on his gun
then he was askin wierd questions about my truck like if i owned it and what all the stuff in the back was
he accused me of doing 55 in a 35 and didnt have me on radar
i was at the most doing 40
then he asked me where i was goin and i said school and he was like oh a little early for school isnt it

i think the reason he pulled me over was for my truck bein so muddy lol
one good thing is that i didnt get a ticket

cops dont act like jerks, they are just doing thier job. i dislike cops very much, but they gotta do thier job too. tell him you want to see the radar gun, and ask when the last time it was calibrated. dont let him search your truck, and when he says, "why you got something to hide?" tell him no, but i do have civil rights. without probable cause he pretty much has to let you go. also when he says where are you going, politely ask him why he pulled you over and ask what that has to do with why he pulled you over

next time i get pulled im gunna remember that. been pulled twice with out a radar. i will admit to speeding the first time but the second i wasnt.

and ya got to remember man the cop has no idea who the person or what the person in the vehical he pulls over is or has on them. alot of them keep there hands on there gun for safty to them and other's untill they can judge there surrounding's.  i hate asshole cops to but you also have to remember they have to deal with all sorts of stupied,mean,rude,dumb people all day long everyday. thats why i just play it cool and let them get on with there day. and it dose suck to get pulled over. i was scared shitless my first time.

I wouldnt advise anyone to speak to an officer this way..... acting nervous is a reason to search... laws changed.... more you talk to a cop and give him/ her the more they will look for a reason to make your day worse...

answer the questions and dont ask any.... or at least ask the officer after they are done asking....

i disagree. if you show the cop you know your rights, and are respectful, and dont act nervous, and he has no reason to pursue it any further, like beer in the back, for example, he will prolly leave you alone. at least thats the way its been for me.

I remember getting pulled over for being stupid, I'm very polite, I turn on my dome light  at night, put the car in Park or the parking break on, turn off the engine and put my hands on the steering wheel and don't move until told to then ask if it's okay to reach for something. Since they don't know me, they don't know if I have a gun or what.

I did have my bad day when he pulled me over and asked how fast I was going I said "I'm an idiot officer" told the truth I was trying to impress some girls that were with me, and ended up getting away with 2 tickets in that one stop, I was so happy I could of hugged them.

i remember the first time i got pulled over. i was drivn a 90 chevy 1500. i was doing 75 in a 55 with on plates and insurance. got let go with wrong plates. cuz i just bought the truck and the plate was on my brothers old mud truck. lol.. but yah like everyone else is saying just play it cool and you will get aways usualy.

the last time i got pulled over i was in my red truck and the cop said he was doing 40 in a 25 and i was pulling away. lol i also had my flag hanging out the  back. tail light out.. tinted windows... and loud exhaust. he talked to me about all of them and then let me go with a warning.. lol it was funny but it also sucked.....

First time i got pulled over was 59 in a 55 (5 days after i got my license), i did the yes sir no sir crap n he gave me the ticket. Same guy has pulled me over 7 more times, and gave me a ticket every single time lol.. luckly the last 6 have all been fix it for headlights, tailights, one was tailgate fell off while he was pulling me over... a few loud exhaust. Funny part almost everytime is a differnt vehicle.

Only got 1 major ticket so far.. that first one.. some people seem to jus get pulled over alot.. im prolly at bout 13 times.  Speeding 2wce.. never more than 10 over.

Best thing ive found is jus act normal when they come up there, ... dont laugh too much... (did that when tailgate fell off.. he thought i was on somethin) jus admit what u was doing was wrong.. even if u dont think so.. its alot like dealing with parents

i get powled over about 8 times last year or so for stuped resons; bunt out bulbs, falure to blinker, tale lights bing to "dim", dong 5-10 over a few times, driving ergurly. only got one tickit for having the wrong insurince card.  rember he dont no you or what your up to

TThe Only cops that suck are in Brighton. Thats about it. Every were else they are great to deal with.  Got 2 ticketrs in Bright for B.S. Reasons.
