MUD KING

So anyways i rolled my truck over at the dunes memorial day weekend this year. Of course doing donuts. Pretty much smashed the living hell out of every panel on the truck.  pushed the cab out and went back out that same day and torque converter burned up ( didn't know this at the time) and the tranny overheated and started spitting trans fluid on the headers and it caught on fire. Luckily my buddy stan had another fire extinguisher because i used mine and it didn't even phase it. Got a new cab, doors, fenders and core support from stan (3+3). Got a hood grill and other odds and ends from lee and went to the junk yard a couple of times and a month later i have a 80's pickup now.

Took the tranny apart when i got home and had an inch of metal in the pan. Took it all apart and had the case cleaned out and put it back together. Bought a stall converter that should be super wicked. If you see my truck run next guess how high it is?

Also picked up some sweet new meats. Wanna see what everyone thinks. Should I run the new tractor tires or the old 44 boggers[/b]probably will depend on the mud also. Oh and going with a new accent color light silver to go with the new dark charcoal. What does everyone think of the new colors? Got a new bed but i am cutting the bottom out right now so i don't have to shovel out a foot of mud every weekend after the bog.

More pics of the truck. Check out the rims I made to go to silver lake. We put my truck and 4 60" combine tires for stans truck in the back of his box truck. Just fit wish i had pics of it was funny as hell. anybody know any old school beaners that want some low profile tires?

The only thing I have to say is why did you put an 80's clip on the front like everyone else? Looks good otherwise!

I put the 80's style on because all my fenders and core support from the old 70's truck were totaled. got a good deal on the 80's stuff. 70's stuff is getting hard to come by like the core supports and all.

Got the new tranny cooler on this week and put a tranny temp. gauge in the trans pan. Hope this helps with troque converters exploding ( plus i got a really nice one this time). Took it for a test run today with all the new parts. Wow that stall is bad a**, feels like a new truck. Power feels alot more crisp. Used to run low kind of thinking that high might be an option now. Only time will tell when i get in the deep stuff. Had to take the 48's off for now. need a little more room for them so they don't hit the pretty new fenders. Don't really want to go any higher( ya know due to that whole rolling over thing) so I think I'm going to go with some bushwacker cut outs to make it look clean but still gain a little more room. Don't really want to resort to a body lift just yet. And by the way thank the lord for the pipe fitter at work that got me all that 3" 1/4 inch wall pipe and weld fittings. Saved my life probably. Roll bar doesn't even show signs of wear. Wouldn't of turned out so well without it
