Haven't updated in a while....I'm currently rebuilding a 14 bolt FF that has 4:88 gears and a D44 front with 4:88's. I know the D44 isn't the best option, but for what I've got into them, I'll keep looking for a D60 front with gears to match. This is a significant upgrade to my 1/2 ton axles with 4:10 gears. Can't wait to see the difference!! Pics up shortly. Relocating the rear spring perches because they were narrowed to fit a CJ7 at one point. Oh year, rear axle already has disc brake conversion done and they appear to operate well. all parts move freely.

I'm working on it man!! lol. I've had a few slow downs over the last week or so, but it's in process everyday.

I was up til 1:30 am last night cutting, grinding and measuring the new spring perch placement. Still working on it!

  Got all new wheel bearings and seals for the 14 bolt today...be putting those in tonight. Slow but steady work still rolling nightly. Also striped the paint, welded on the new perches and re-primed and painted them. Looking good.

14 bolt rear is good to go. I had the 8 lug wheels mounted up this morning and bought new u-bolts this morning too. Got the new wheel bearings for the front axle yesterday and should be putting those in tonight. Here are a few pics:

Nice fracture in my hand from bearing press too....ouch!!

I still have brake lines to run and the new body mounts to go in. Pretty excited to see what the 4:88 gears offer the 44's. This is the best gearing I've ever run, and would expect a ton of difference to the 4:10's that were in there. We'll see soon!
