86 Bruzer Project-Update 4-29-12

Looking for ideas guys as it purtains to additional lift / drive angle remedies. I would like to move up to 3/4 or 1 ton drive line and MUCH larger lift. I am worried about the drive angles and wondering other than H.A.D. shafts if you know of relocation tricks for engine mounts, t-case/trans. mounts and shackle relocation. Let me know what you think. Chris

Truck is set up currently with:

86 K5 Blazer
350crate / 700r4 monster minion trans. / NP208
4:10 gear on 1/2 ton axles / 8" softride spring only / 3" body lift
39x15x15 Mickey Thompson Baja Belted wheels with Ultra motor sports rogue black wheels.

Just want some ideas as I have a few of my own but would like to hear yours. Want to clear 44's no problem and the truck is going under the knife this winter! Thanks,   Chris

How much lift you looking to go? I did the 12" on mine and got room for 44's so with the extra 3" body lift you got you should be good all day. I only dropped the t-case down 1 1/2" and put 8 degree shims under the axles and my angles arnt bad at all. The rear I did have to go with a high angle shaft from Tom Woods (bout $480) but the front is damn near perfect, just a few inches short. I was really surprised at how good everything turned out, I know your not gonna wanna go to crazy on lift with the center of gravity and on the dunes. Idk just my

While you have it under the knife this winter, put four link on it and coil overs to make it bad a$$!!!!

Revisiting this idea guys. I'm gonna put some parts together over the next 2 months and be ready to build in February! ( Birthday gift to me!) What is your idea?

Got the tractors off today, gonna go back to a more traditional mud tire...40" hawgs. Want to be able to go snow drifting and can't on the tractors. Get pics up tomorrow of the new shoes.

Yes sir, will definitely give ya a shout. Gotta figure out the geometry for the 4 link. Want to move the front axle forward a couple inches too...got some planning to do.
