im doin a same type of thing. get cranked balenced machine work done to block. some valve work a comp .268 or .270 cam lifters performer intake. and a set of headers lol

took axle into tech today. got driver side hub hub cam off easy to say the least was happy got all internals out and caliper off ran outta time but i will need new rotors. and does anyone know how to set a bearing?

ive been thinking im just going to run this axle as it is.
i dont want to put big money into this 77 axle thats hard to get parts for.
im going to get a 78or79 and put money into it

I think its something i would drive, like them chevys. but sucks its got normal rust/rot... neighbor fixed his on a regular cab, new metal over old and who gives a rats behind what people think.

Oh boy does that episode make it look easy!       by the way i wouldnt cut out the engine crossmember unless you absolutely have to!     you'll hafta notch it out for diff clearence however...
