don't put one on with leaf springs. you kill other people on the road! you hit a bump you can not keep in your lane.

im guessing ford has a bunch of lawsuits coming if you cant run a track bar with leafs. every superduty ever built has one. i would absoutly recomend a track bar on the front, just do it right. to eliminate any bumpsteer you have to run the track bar parallell with the drag link, so when you look at the front there level with each other on the same angle. if youve ever rode in a truck without and then with youd p00! you can get away without one, but i would put one on if it sees a lot of road time. think about it, with leafs the only thing holding your axle to center is some rubber or poly bushings. use some teflon 3/4x3/4 hiems and tubing. you wont regret it.

Your F'n crazy if your not running a track bar on anything with big tires especially on the road ! Unless you like DEATH WOBBLE !!! That will kill someone. If it's a MUD ONLY truck thats fine not running one. I've had a very bad experience with death wobble and I ended up in a 12' deep ditch on my side NOT COOL !! luckily didn't cause any harm to anyone else on the road . The cause was a bad track bar bushing and it made it shake so bad that the tires came of the road squealing and chirping . There was so much stress on it that the track arm bracket bolts snapped and that was that . That was at 55 mph. so imagine faster ! Either way please take my advice and run a bar if your running on the road. Any straight axle ford had them ,it's a must on coil spring axles ..thats what holds them from going side to side, leaf fronts will move side to side also. Bushings and shackles will flex and you add all that flex together depending on condition of bushings and you could easily have a ton of side play. That is what a track bar is there for...to take the play out ! If you end up running one make sure all brackets are welded to frame and axle tube and build them heavy duty and run poly bushings on the road or heim joints for off road.  ++peace

DONT RUN A TRAC BAR!!!!!!!!!! every truck I had but my old linked blazer didnt have them and NONE HAD A ISSUSE!  I dont know anyone with a trac bar on there dd or any trucks!!!  only things that need them are linked trucks or coil spring trucks

im 1000% with you on this jtech, just because you know sombody that plays russian rulet and is still alive dont mean its a sweet game and everybody should do it. just go drive a truck without one, then drive one with. you wont hesitate to put one on. i say use teflon hiems, just because thats what ive always used. there cheap, easy to replace and look cool. but a poly bushing set would last longer, be quieter, and work every bit as good. i just like having adjustability to mine.

so now that the pros are out about track bars, safety, safety, safety, drivability, and safety.

what are the cons to running one? they cost $12 to build? or the fact it takes 2 hrs to fab one up? or russian rulet is a fun game???

Im guessing with that big of a lift this truck is going to be over the legal height no matter what to drive on the road....
