Rear ended...new info 06/02/11

   I was sitting (stopped) at a stop light in Holt when I got rear ended...I think the girl was texting and never even tryed to hit the brakes.........     The speed limit there is 35mph......    I was the pushed into the Chevy truck in front of me and Thankfully he had a hitch 'cause I think it would have done lots of damnage to his truck..So I have front damage and rear damage...
    I only carry plpd and my mini van has a bent frame but it still drives ok..   I am still driving it but only becasue I am waiting on a motor to be installed into my ss monte carlo....
    Hubby wants to sue...But some how I feel bad about because does happen ....But then again, I am the 1 that is out a mini van....She was driving a  300c with really nice rims and tires and tinted windows......

This whole thing is dumb....I feel pressure by dumb drivers every day in regards to this...People honk and wave the unfriendly finger  if you don't just roll through stop signs or right on reds....I'm tired of stupid drivers. People need to realize, there are rules of the roads and to driving. I'd like to just throw it in reverse  with my pintle hitch in and smoosh their front ends some times!

feel bad for you all, i know my damage was 5300.00 and some back aches out of it and it wasn't even my fault
got my truck back but still going to physical therapy. hope everything goes well for you Chris in court

Don't be fooled cause she had a nice car. I know plenty of people that do and have no money, not to mention that even if you win in court doesn't mean you'll see a dime. Just depends how much effort you want to put into it. Check with your insurance because mine filed a mini torte claim on my behalf to sue the other person for my deductable and car rental while my truck got fixed

That is actually where the process is right now. Filed a mini Torte claim and got the estimate. $849 before they know if they need to replace the hitch assembly and other mounts. She is contesting the ticket to try and get out of the fine and points. I'll know exactly what is going to happen on the 15th...
