Plan on swapping out the 3/4 ton front end on my 87 Chevy k20 for a Dana 60 this weekend.
Will the Dana 60 bolt right in? Or will I run into complications ???

You'll need a steering lift block for the d60, unless u have a drop pitman arm. Other then that direct bolt on.

1 less ubolt on the 60, 2 bolts hold the left hand side of the spring plates on the passenger side.

driveshaft will be too long, u need the 2 bolts jc said and the steering. other than that is a simple swap only take a min! lol

Would the 1 ton parts truck have those have either?

Blazin40s

Nope, only lifted trucks need em.

I'll probably just make one

Blazin40s

Would be pretty hard to make.  U may wanna check one out b4 u try that, its not just a solid block of steel.

What is this parts exact name so I can look them up and how much bigger does it need to be

betterbeaters

its a steering lift block for a d60 front  it replaces the stock cap for the king pin on drivers side to raise the steering so it work right. and how much lift the truck has will tell how tall you have to go if you got a huge lift may need the lift block and drop steering arm.

you just have 4" lift right?  if so  you just need to adjust the drag link so you have the same turning both ways.   you can buy the steering block for the 60 later.  you will need the top plates for the 60 front end.

Yeah just a 4 inch. And top plates? Sorry I don't know much about drive train work.

Somthing else to take into consideration would be brake lines, i know for a fact 1 ton and 3/4 are differant...  Its the end the bolts to the caliper, that bolt hole is a slightly differant size...

GotMud?

Blazin40s

My break lines were the same sam.  But I had a 10 bolt in it.
