Ok, lets start with basics. Still no SES light? If so I'll bet its burnt out. Once that is fixed, then you can go from there. The computer doesnt control the injector pulse, the module under the cap does, along with a few other tasks. Did you replace that yet? Use dielectric grease under it when installed?

i replaced the whole distributer and that comes with a new pick up coil and a new module cause thats what i figured it was. but that didnt change anything. as for the computer controling the injector pulse everybody ive talked to said its the computer. im not an expert on these systems but it shouldnt be this hard or i didnt think it would be.im going to get a scanner from orileys and see what that tells me. hopefully it will give me some kind of idea.i know its starting to piss me off.

What about the check engine light? Does it come on when you turn the key forward?

I really doubt thats its the computer its self if anything it would be the prom chip in the computer that would be bad,

Well the scanner said that it couldn't read or connect with the computer so either it is shot or there is a broken wire someplace.

I'm assuming you have already double checked both plugins on the computer to make sure they were tight and not corroded??

Ya I've checked all conections and wires. But I'm going to do it one more time and see if I missed anything.

Does the dash get power? Is there any other problems with it?

That's a obd1 and a scanner isn't going to read the computer though it. Most scanners only read obd2 which I don't think they started using till 98. Check the wires by the themostat housing. Make sure there hooked up and not coroded. And also try to unhook the temp control sensor its right next to the themostat housing and see if it will start then.
i dont have a mud bogging problem, i got it under control

obd2 started in 95

and yes a scanner can work on obd1 if it has the hook up and a good scanner,  I have a snap on scanner that will read obd1 and will control all computer functions on obd1 computers

I would scan it for him but, I gotta fix my scanner first, the power wire in the connector is broke :( so if I get some time ill try and get it fixed. But it wont do much good if the computer wont communicate with it, as it should of flashed the ses light unless its burned out

Still ain't figured out the van. Tried a new computer nothing happened. Tried to jump power to the cmputer and the injector fires just not all the time and not at the right time. I put power to the computerby using the ses wire from the connecter for the scanner and the ses light works so I know its not burned out. But I'm out of ideas so does anybody got any? I'm almost positive its a wiring problem somewhere but where?
