So. I've decided I'm going to build my first mud truck. I'm getting a rear axle with 373 gears 241 tcase and a 350 tbi motor. I'm also getting a 4l60e trans but its blown so I think I want to just find a th350. I don't have much money. So this is not going to be the baddest truck around but it'll do for now. If anyone has some spare parts they don't want like springs or a front axle or a 350 trans. I don't care if it needs to be rebuilt. If you guys could donate to my cause that would be sweet. Thanks guys and I look forward to a great experience building this.

That's what I'm trying to do lol. But with my girlfriend in the hospital I'm only working 3 shifts a week and I'm not bringing in much money. So I want to get something together before she gets out so when she does we have a toy to play with.

How much for the roller parts bogger? What is it? And I was thinking about using a jeep with Chevy drive train make it light and fast!

the best thing you can do is buy a truck running and moving it will cost you less all the way around.

Well I have the whole drive train less the  front axle. I need a frame, body, Springs and all the little little stuff.

 Its a 76 chevy body its all gutted and light weight it needs a lot of work $1600 obo its a short box wheel base. Needs steering brakes alots of welding lol

I barely have 160 dollars let alone 1600. Lol.

or s10 blazer, or rusty fullsize, or mail jeep...something that retains it value in scrap. not so much a bogger, but a 'mounds beater'

better yet find a buddy to ride with...expensive past time 160 barely gets me to the bog after i gas everything up

Lucky me I live with in 20 mins of 4 or 5 different bogs. I might have just found everything i need to build one less some 40 inch tires. Lol.

Good luck on ur build, you will find that once you start into it it will cost you a lot more that. What you think it will... all the .little stuff really starts to add up fast. Lol

ok looks like my father in law is giving me a 305 and a 2wd turbo350 so im going with a divorced tcase. any one got one super cheap that they could help me out with?

i dont really care what you build but i can tell you from my own experiences  that once you get to making what ever it is your making even the dam bolts start to cost a lot. just be truthful with your self about what you want to make. it has to be realistic to your wallet. oh ya one more thing dont go thinkin your ol lady is just going to jump right in after being in the hospital.mine wont even get in my truck

the drive shaft for between the trans and tcase are not cheap. Im assuming its a chevy divorce 205 passenger drop? you can swap the tailshaft housings on the trans from 2 wheel to 4 wheel. if your interested i might be able to come up with the 4 wheel adapter and a 205 or 208 mated case to trade for your divorce 205. on a side note all the lil stuff you mention adds up real quick. The last 1 i built my bill at the hardware alone was near $750. My 2 cents.... sell your extra parts and by a cheap running driving beater and have a blast, wish ya Good luck either way

I actually don't have a tcase. I'm looking for one. If you had an adapter for a 205 that would be sweet and how much could I get it for from ya?
