Not really much of an update but I got some parts ordered. Been too busy fixing other stuff that shouldn't be breaking...

Anyways for my th400 to mount to my 6.0 flywheel I need a spacer.
From jegs part # 809-12563532 $36.99
And the bolts for the spacer # 809-19257940 $5.99 (6)   !!!

For my motor mounts I went with dirty dingo part # DD-2585-4 $110

For my fuel system I am going to use my sending unit with an ac delco ep-381 $60-$100.  I haven't decided if im going thru amazon or autozone. Amazon is cheaper but I heard they won't warrany it?
From the tank I will use what steel line I have and replace any rubber line or hose clamps with high pressure hose and clamps.

I need a tac module and pedal assembly still since im going drive by wire.  I also need a MAF sensor. Im thinking from the junkyard $ 125
I will be sending my computed off to lt1swap.com $75
I still plan on doing my own harness.

Awesome sounds like you have a good start and good choice on the motor mounts from research I've done and people I've talked to they are the best ones you can get sounds like she's should be up and running in no time lol

My flywheel spacer showed up today.  Its gonna make up the difference from the shorter crankshaft used in the ls motors so my converter will be locked in.

Im using info found here http://lt1swap.com/2004vortec_pcm.htm to modify my harness. Will update when I get some real work done.

I found some more info on this adapter. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/11065304-post1.html

Looks there is a $20 option to do the same thing as my $40 spacer and $6 bolts! I might be doing a return.

Wanna know a trick. Run a 5.3 flex plate. There domed out so you don't need a spacer you just need a spacer for the torque converter

hollywoodhillbilly

Plus you'll need the adapters to run solid motor mount for the old chevys which trans dapt sells for 50 on summit

hollywoodhillbilly

And if u really wanna wake it up edelbrock sells a kit to convert them to carved and they'll sing 72-7500 ROMs all night long

jaredw

Yeah, ive wanted to go that way too.  I think you can get more peak horsepower with the carb.  With my buget that i have, I can buy the coversion to carb and still have $ left over..   hmmm

The conversion kit is about 670 bucks that's your intake trigger module and writing harness. It takes a whole 10 minutes to do it all. And all you have to do is put a timing curve pill in it. For street use use the no. 4 pill

jaredw

I found the setup on summit right now for $569 shipped to my door.  This is the msd 6010 and edelbrock performer intake.

Is that the setup your running?
Have you changed your cam at all and played with your own timing curve?

My 770 holley should run the lq9

hollywoodhillbilly

Yes. No can change and pm me I got a secret formula for a curve

jaredw

Well I made some progress. I got all my cab mounts replaced so now my fenders actually fit again. I got the core support off, carb off, distributor pulled, exhaust loose, starter out, driveshafts off.  U know all the easy stuff.  The 350 and 700r4 are almost ready to come out.  Just have the transfer case to take out then it should be out shortly after that.

I also got my engine harness and computer removed from the 6.0.

I got my motor mounts too.

Carb or efi?  Stay tuned!

nice coming together nicely

jaredw

Ok i got some progress done.

Looks way better with the coils gone.  I might look into rerouting them depending on cost.

I'd say that looks pretty clean!

Im going to cut all the unused tbi wires out.  There should only be a few i will use like ground, ignition, tach, alrernator, starter, vss, temp sensor, and oil pressure.
I need to modify my turbo 400 to not panic shift.

Does anyone know what size bearing for the input shaft on a 1990 np241 passenger side t case.? I've gotta change the shaft to 32 spline and I dont know what one to order yet.
