Got to mess around with the positioner at work over the weekend,
Came out pretty good I thought.

Doesn't matter if you're a fabricator by trade or just a weekend welder, lets see what you can do!

Wish I still had pics of some of the welds I did at my last shop. Looked really good now I just do welding at home and not much of it but next time I do I'll get some pics.

Still learning so all criticism is welcome good or bad but please be respectful. Self teaching self learning. 1/4 plate carbon steel.

Crazymays77

Not bad either your going to slow, wire speed is too high or not enough heat other than that it's a good looking bead. Just keep changing the settings till you get a bead that's a little flatter.

Crazymays77

When you make a pass look at the backside of the steel you should see some heat transfer to that side of the plate then you know you have enough heat. If the bead is still high like they are now then you know you have to much wire speed or going to slow. Hope that makes since to you.

Hammerlane

not a pro myself but would have to agree with speed too slow or wire too fast, nice job.

yep, turn the heat up and run faster or slow down wire speed.
*Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone **** your wife and being proud to raise their kids.*
