well.... i wouldnt say hard.... time consuming, YES. the tab that mounts in the back center has about 5 different angles that had to be bent into the tab of steel to make it all line up the way we wanted to. otherwise the side legs werent too hard. just needed cardboard to make a template

well yesterday i decided to hack off the ehaust pipes behind the mufflers. exhaust has been fallin apart and leakin lately, so now it has turn downs just in front of the wheel well and made a new hanger to hold the back of the pipes up there. truck seems to have a lower rumble beace its echoing from under the bed. should do for now!  ++peace

abandoned project:
1/4 diamond plate as a skid plate and part of the oil pan to deepen it to make it a 7qt pan.... the sheet metal on the base started cracking and leaking when we tested it in spots and brazing wasnt gonna be enough. didnt wanna push it and run the risk of it cracking more while on the truck when its getting slammed around

Ah, theres somethin funny about the metal they use on oil pans and stuff sometimes.. Idk what it is, but just dont seem to do right.. Might be oil saturated or somethin, sometimes it works out ok, sometimes it dont. Dont feel bad about it, it happens..  ;D

yea but i wasnt havin issues witht that metal, it was with the fresh metal i had for the base down by the seems. i think it was cuz of all the heating and cooling that it went through and stess on it. i used some thin sheet metal mad a big long hairline crack bout 1/2" above the bottom edge above where i welded the drain plug

well took the truck up to silver lake today! didnt have any major problems(other than the battery becoming dislodged and shorting the truck out momentarily on the a/c hoses). although all the bouncing around i think shifted my tcase linkages so it keeps kicking in and out of 4 wheel cuz it hits that plastic panel on the floor towards the end of the trip. so if anybody knows of some easy ways to adjust em on a np241 lemme know!
