It took a couple nights of soakin with WD-40 and workin the bolts back and forth, but I got all the bolts out without bustin or strippin out the holes. There are holes made by the factory that can be used to spray the oil at the weld nut inside. Some of the bolts were very thin, all will need replaced. I painted the back part of the frame with some rust inhibitor glossy black. There was alot of wires at the back, I marked it all for when it gets hooked back up.

Well, then Tomac came along and we took the front clip and the cab off the 2wd frame and got it outta here. GotMud? ;D

Youre looking at the top of the front bumper, passenger side. That tab with a bolt hole hangs over the top of a skirt of sorts that is all the way around the bottom front of the clip. You must remove the front bumper and pull the bumper bracket out a bit by hand in order to clear and remove the front clip. Im a savage, and I think I bent the bumper bracket a little bit.. ==doh

TOMAC

The 2 bolts in the front of the front clip were hard to get anything on, so we just cut them. I may end up having to  put the cab on by myself, I think I've got that one figured out. I definitely need some longer timbers, lol!

I had to get the cab pretty high in the air in order to clear the front shock mounts, and the blocks had to be far enough apart to allow the frame to roll under.

old school truck dude

I put these rims on with no tires so I didnt have to go any higher.

old school truck dude

Rolled it under the cab, raised the frame up to it, and sat it all down.

I put the motor in it, but there is interference between the oil filter and the front driveshaft.  ==doh I'll have to use the oil filter set-up from a 4wd engine. The motor is leanin back a bit, but it won't clear and must be changed.

J.C.

do you need a 4wd adapter? i have on, and ill be up in saginaw on friday, if ya need it

ProGrade

You know what Chad, youre right. Ive decided to finish this truck. I sold the motor out of it for a K5 Blazer body, so I'm goin to put the powertrain out of the grey truck in it and part the grey truck out. That will be my tow rig for the K5 Blazer.
