start from scrach build a hole new motor and keep that one as a back up! and when building a motor spend the most money on the bottom end cause you can aways upgrade the to later! if you have any questions about parts talk to you machine shop I would recomend muscle motors they built mine and I love it! there # is 517-482-4900  hope this helps if theres anything else I can help with let me know!
thanks for the input. I was thinking about that too. I'd feel bad pulling such a solid motor to build another one but I know what you are saying!

I think it should bolt up.  No adaptors needed.but wouldn't last long.  Imo.

Think I'm still gonna clean up and paint these wheels as when I get my 8 luggers, I'll be selling these and they'll be nice and ready for someone else to enjoy....

Then id paint em black, not many people have blue or yellow.

I realize...my trans is only built for UP TO 525hp. I was more intrigued that a BBC would bolt up to a 700r4 without adapters I guess. Never really considered a  BBC before cuz I like the rpm range of a small block with way less cubic dollars ! Not too mention, that 540 is a pretty penny too! haha. Sounds like a great motor though.

Yeah, I'm thinking Black for what ever I do anyway. Always liked the black out wheel look. My last 2 sets have been black.

i say just build a new sbc from start, and keep runnin this motor that is in it until ya get the other motor all done, then just run this motor till it blows and then put the other motor in
Only problem is, Damn thing is so damn reliable and so few miles that it's gonna be a while before I'll wear it out and blow it! Prolly just look to build what I have.
