Continuing to work on her again today! Front axle bearings and axle joints. Wondering if the steering knuckle has to come off to get the axle shafts out.

Getting closer to done! I drove the Blazer under it's own power last night at 2am once I was done installing the 14 bolt! Happy happy happy describes the feeling! I'll be putting together the front ring and pinion and shafts later this evening. It's really starting to come together. The brake lines went together really well too.

Off the top of my head, this is what I still have to do:
1. Ring and Pinion set up on front axle.
2. Swap u-joints in the front shafts.
3. Swap the front spindles and hub assembly.

4. Add my new body mount lift blocks. Going from 3" to 6". Overall lift between suspension and body is 14"
5. Lengthen the shift linkage and t-case linkage.
6. Finish putting in wheel bearings in last front hub assy.
7. Re-attach front bumper and make mounts for the push bar.
8. Cut the front and rear fender corners.
9. Weld in floor bracing and roll bar mounts. The roll bar was just set up as a beauty bar and needs to be reinforced and mounted solid.
10. Gotta replace one of the rear shocks... ==censor These are only 3 years old and discovered a blow out!

This list is still pretty long, but getting much shorter by the day! I'll get pics up in a few minutes...

That's the plan!! It will be a good test run before a dunes trip. If all works out, it will be there.

It tore up the inner fender pretty good on closing day at the mounds. I ran the same body lift on my 85 K20 pickup and it worked out great. Problem with trying to cut fenders back is that those flares are on there.

The shaft length was better with the 14 bolt then it was with that 10 bolt...weird! I'm going to get the combo joint today. I strapped on in just to move it around yesterday.

I was told that Napa had them. I would like to know a part number....I am gonna build extra shafts with joints ready to go...you never know!

Shawn ( boggerram87) cut, lengthened and painted my front one. Came out good.

Cool, when I did my swap, the front shaft worked out perfect....the d60 yoke sticks back farther then the 10bolt did

Ideally I'll be putting  a D60 up front soon enough. This will get me by for a while. Using my Chromo shafts in the front axle.
