Well got into the garage yesterday for the first time in a while, got the front axle all unbolted (except the steering arm), pulled the passenger side gas tank out. It had a 1 square foot hole in the bottom of it.  I also have started mocking up my bumper towbar mount. I want to relocate my driver's side gas tank to the bed so it doesn't rot like the other one, and also to protect it from getting beat up (so far I'm planning on stuffing 35's under it and not lifting it).  what does everyone think?  is it worth it or just a waste of time to move the tank?  the truck is not going to be plated or streetable, so I'm not worried about that. Here's pics of my holy tank and my 4.10 front axle.

Always a good idea to move a a gas tank out of harms way!  Better in box than dragging through the mud!  Lookin good!

I'm cutting the body,  (where the rust hasn't already done it for me) and the inner fenders are gone.  I removed them for more tire clearance, they were rotted out too.  (making rubber guards that will protect the motor) If anything i'll body lift it, I need to get tires under it first to see what will happen.

hopefully will get some more garage time in the next couple days, will post more.  When I get all done I'll post the total build cost...I am the king of low budget, you'll see

It was a busy weekend (my wife's birthday) but I got wheels and tires from Garrett Jerry on sunday so i'm good there.  and also picked up a beat up bed rail mount toolbox for FREE (woohoo) sunday.  hopefully in the next couple days i'll be able to start working on it again.

I finally got some garage time last night..I put in the new brake lines, cleaned up the front axle and put the diff cover back on, bolted up the axles, packed the bearings and mounted the rotor/hub assemblies and threw on the front wheels and tires.  next step is the rear axle and tires so i can start cutting...might put 2" blocks on it so i don't have to cut quite so much.  I'll decide next week.  Here's pics of the spindles after they were all cleaned up, and the truck sitting on the front tires.

I thought I had posted this before but I guess not.  When I wasn't getting a whole lot of garage time, I repaired and painted the grill ( a little here, a little there ) turned out ok.  now its one of the nicest parts on the truck, lol!

got the rear axle in and lines hooked up last weekend...  now onto rust removal, and fab work...got a toolbox for FREE and am going to vent it and mount my fuel tank in there!  Here is a pic with all 4 wheels and tires, with the toolbox in.  Evan is testing the steering, and approves of daddy's "WIPE TRUCK"
