Bout time I update this....

Got the motor back in, ran great for the first 2 days till I realized that its leakin oil outta somewhere like a byTch that ain't the valve covers or the pressure sensor- thinkin it may be oil filter adapter elbow thingy

And also the fuel pump wont shut off when its supposed to anymores. Its got a mind of its own, I never even touched the wireing for it at all and nothing is pinched anywheres. I can pull the harness from the relay and it'll stay on, but if I pull the fuse it'll shut off. There's times I can turn the key off and it will shut off like its supposed to then 5 mins later it'll be on. Makes absolutely no sense at all anymores!

Supposed to go to the dog party this weekend but if I can get this oil issue under control I wont be going....

pulled the adapter off, machine shop put it back together and never put the inner seal back in it, so i just put the screw fitting for the regular 400 sbc can on it and eliminated that whole mess. that dont leak now. but it sure looks like the oil galley pulgs do..... its comin from inside the inspection cover and the flexplate does have oil on it

as for the fuel pump i wired a switch into the cab so i dont have to keep popping the hood to de-energize the system untill i can get under there and rewire it all or find the bad ground

not anymores.... at least theyre willing to fix their mistakes!

dropping the whole truck off on monday to get the rear main fixed cuz thats what they say it prolly is. tuns out a stock seal wont work with a .020 under crank... go figure!

Got it back! It was just the rear main that needed to be switched out so she was in and out in less than a day! So far now leaks!  now to move on to the next projects....

when i said tommorow i meant next saturday haha guy said he was busy both days this weekend. and ill be goin down to 4.56 gears now insted of the 4.10s i already have. which will basically make it as if i had 3.73s with stock tires than 3.42s with my 35s

yep. only bad thing is the rear is an open diff. i may not really need 1 tons for 35s but id rather be overkill that way if i slap a set of 40s on there for a weekend i dont have to worry bout breakin anything wheeling it hard especially with the kind of power the 408 is puttin out

well i made a road trip and picked up a few goodies today. got a 241 pass drop from betterbeaters! thanks man! was a good time meetin ya and talkin with ya! then made my way all the way over to the east side and picked up the 1 tons! i gotta say im excited for these, aint nothin like the half ton axles!

plans are gonna be to tear the tcase apart and rebuild it, new chain and SYE kit. build it once, wont have to do it again. as for the axles wont have to do much! tear the hubs down and repack the bearings and change out any that need to be, new fluids, then gonna see if i can find some 3/8s steel layin round and fab me up some heavy diff covers. not in any rush to get these in cuz the truck works fine as it is. but the goal is to be done this summer before labor day

frame tweaked on the drivers side, frame horns bent, axle toast, transfercase split in half, windsheild cracked
