i drove it there with full intentions not to break it lol but i lookin at the hill from the base and seein all the slidemarks from people and nobody at the top of that section i thought it was alot looser than it was. and i did let off, just a lil too late. 408 has alot more power than the 350 than i realized lol

got it out. in better condition than i realized it was too! ==roll internalls are all nice and tight, chain aint even loose for bein the factory tcase

It like beyond bottomed out. Splines from the front shaft were hittin the u joint at the tcase. So thats what it seems killed it. Now i need to find one of them caps for the shaft too...

Cool truck!!! I was lookin threw all the pages of this build and seen a lot of time and money was put into doin it all the right way. i added a couple pics of my old truck I sold to my brother.  He may be getting rid of it soon and I was thinkin of buyin it back and doin the sas to it.   what do ya say, ready for round 2???? lol.  Anyway, good luck with the rebuild from the dunes jump!!!   

pics are from a couple years ago, just out playin at the mounds with my son. 
Hopefully Hell has a Mudpit!!!

thanks man! thats def a nice  chevv i had originally wanted a red one back when i was lookin for a stepside. and i think im workin towards round 3 now... its been wrecked once before this thread was started lol

Not by you of course!?!? Lol.  I don't know if you seen it but I bought redneck_ohearn's 88 stepside bogger the end of last year. Between that, my deckover I'm modifying, and my 89 Chevy DD/bogger hauler that needs a new drivetrain, I've got my work cut out for me before the mounds reopens in May!.  Anyway, awesome truck! Keep up the good work!
