well got pulled over by a state boy not doin anything wrond and he said my truck was too high and i had too much window tint.... i only have a 5% tint on the passenger side that most dont even realize is there.... he made me get outta my truck and measure it. frame was in tolerance but the rear bumper was just a hair too high.... he gave me a "stiff" warning and wrote my name down.... so it looks like this weekend im gonna be tryin to drop my rear bumper and not make it look like a hack job  ==censor

They stopped 5 trucks at WESCO. I was just getting ready to PM you and ask if one was you. A friend of mine described your truck as one of the 5 trucks. Next time just air down before he measures you... LOL

wow theres alot higher trucks on the road

thats what i told him.... my rear bumper is 2 inches too high.... everything else is fine

Time for a nice drop bumper or just make a removable bumper for the receiver hitch (square stock welded to an old receiver).

rangerwheelinmike

the front bumbers to high on the ranger and havent had a problem ???

well i was plannin on makin a nice big HD winch bumper sometime this year that dropped down lower anyways. just gonna have to do it sooner lol im gonna take some 2 1/2" tubing and weld some tabs on it to mount it to the bottom of the bumper for the time being. that way if they stop me again i can at least say i did TRY and do something about it ==roll

he never measured my front(he did have me measure the frame tho) even tho it is literally at the limit. maybe my truck just looks bigger than it actually is?? idk or theyre just more concerned bout people not stopping and getting real aquainted with the rear diff than you just driving over them ==roll

well went and picked up my motor today AGAIN and brought it to ANOTHER machine shop! this time they miced it up with me standing right there.... turns out the first shop had rough bored it to exactly 4.155" so theres no room ro hone for the .030 over pistons and then one bore has a major gash in it and wasnt even bored right! all the first shops fault! the guy gave me a rough quote of 500 bucks to fix the mother f-er....  ==censor its freakin rediculous it took this long for somebody to tell me!!! the owner said hed check into their stock if they had any suitable 400 blocks i could buy and im back on craigslist again.... kinda rediculous that i buy a whole damn motor top to bottom complete and i will only be using the crank and rods(if the rods are even still good now!!!)  :'( pullhairr ==rant ==hit ==dv ==snow ==kk ==er ==cuss ==slap ==wtf ==storm ==junkpc ==pullhair ==badh

and on top of all that i didnt sleep at all today just so i could do all the running around and figure crap out in between shifts..... GREAT FRIDAY THE 13th!!!

anybody wanna buy a boat anchor? would make a good stool too! or paper weight ;D

well picked up another 400 today! this one seems to be in a little better shape than the last one so far. didnt have acess to a cherry picker to get it outta my truck at the time so we did the next best thing, welded a couple chunks of steel together, mounted it to a tree and found all the chains we could(THANK YOU 7d9 z28) and used a chainfall to get it outta the truck. put it on the engine stand in the dirt and used the tractor to drag the engine on its stand through the dirt and onto the pavement. it was a rediculous, entertaining, and fun time!
