well.... finally got the motor back. still gotta go back with the heads to measure for valve springs
what was done:
honed to .040 over
decked to 9.007"
keith black pistons (approx. 9.5:1 compr.)
scat forged 5.7 rods
polished crank
balanced rotating assembly
line honed
cam bearings

well i picked up the new valvaetrain yesterday and a holley 670 street avenger carb i plan on modifyin a lil bit. gonna try and order the rest from summit this weekend. what i picked up yesterday:

retrofit hyd roller cam (comp cams: XR 270 HR)
retrofit roller lifters
hardened pushrods
springs
keepers
locks
timing chain
ribbed timing cover

ive been burnin through a whole lot of money but its all finally comin together!

well been slowly pickin at putting the motor together. havent made alot of progress, been sick as hell. havin issues with the cam not being timed properly? and the lobes hitting the rods on the second revolution, not sure if i got the crank sprocket in the right place cuz its keyed 3 different ways or i need a small base cam..... really dont wanna drop another 500 bucks on a new cam and longer pushrods

well, its been a while since ive had time to update this. lot of work has been done. got the motor finished, got it dropped in during thanksgiving weekend, had to take the heads back of to get a plug fixed and resurfaced, got it put back together again, got it driveable(barely). and spent the last couple weeks tryin to tweak and tune the carb and timing on this SOB. been wrenchin on this almost every day... also got a new b&m torque converter controller hooked up in the truck too! and some strobes for behind the grille too

i know i was plannin on goin 1 ton in the rear for sure for reliability, but just converting it down to 6 lug and stickin with the d44 front axle, cuz 60s are so damn expensive and id have to modify the spring preches on the 60 to match my suspension
